Capillary Action

Material required :
    Microscope slider
    Plastic bowl
    Rubber band
    Paper clip
Step 1 : Place on slide on top of other.

Step 2 : Place rubber band. Insert paper clip between slider.


Step 3 : Place slide vertically in the cup of color water.tou can see color water will rise making a parabolic curve.

General Knowledge :
The first recorded observation of capillary action was by Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, more commonly Leonardo da Vinci,  was an Italian polymat there are three type of capillary action continouse ,fenestrated ,sinusoidal.

Capillary action (sometimes capillarity, capillary motion, or wicking) is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of, and in opposition to, external forces like gravity.
